Here be the June Birchbox and it’s inspired by, oh let me see, the World Cup!
It came in a cute green bag and the contents were pretty cool!
I got a mini OPI nail polish from the Brazil Nail Laquer range, it’s blue and sparkly.
I also received a Yves Rocher lipstick in a lovely orangey red!
Not fond of its packaging but the formula is light and moisturing!
I finally get to see what everyone in the whole world is going on about with this Beautyblender thing!
A very decent sized glass bottle of Caudalie’s Divine Oil also appeared in the box! I love a good body oil!
A tiny tube of Coola sunscreen was included!
Ps check out the cute flip flop key ring!
OPI have currently got a sale on so I decided to add to my burgeoning collection with this lovely royal blue polish called “Dating a Royal”!
I absolutely love it! It goes with so many different looks and it’s still bright enough to wear in the summer.
I used my OPI Natural Nail Base Coat, then added two coats of “Dating a Royal”.
I finished off with a coat of Seche Vite Dry fast Top coat.
You can find “Dating a Royal” here.
I’ve recently been getting interested in nails again!
I’ve been investigating acrylic nail systems but until I have all the right stuff I thought I would give some full cover false nails a go!
Major benefit is that you can paint them, create the art work then just stick them on, no dodgy left handed cock ups! 🙂
I used OPI in Cajun Shrimp, a lovely nod to summer!
I then used silver studs to create accent nails, placing the studs on to the nails with a dotting tool!
I finished it all off with a coat of Seche Vite top coat!
You can get most nail art goodies like studs, fimo canes etc for absolute pennies on ebay from Hong Kong sellers!
They usually have the best choice for the cheapest prices, if you don’t mind waiting a bit longer for delivery!
This week I have a little project on the go, I’ve found yet another cute mini project on Mollie Makes magazine, found a little baking project to try and I’ve painted my nails! 🙂
Below is the latest issue of Mollie Makes magazine and even though sewing and I are never seen in the same room together, I REALLY want to make this fish key ring!
I am making something so awesome but so secret for now! So I trotted down to the local art supplies shop to get some paint when I saw some cool cardboard 3D letters about 3-4 inches high!
So I purchased said letters and have been busy decoupaging them with bright tissue paper!
Most messy but rather absorbing!
In other news the Mr has told me word of a working picnic so I have been thinking and have found a super cool recipe for Mini Oreo Cheescakes! Oh Baby!!!!!
Update to follow on those beauties!
Tomorrow I’m off to Oxford to visit their University for dinner etc so I have painted mine nails with Pink Lemonade by Boots 17! Absolutely lush colour!
Topped off with a secret cheap hero of mine and that’s the 17 double gloss top coat a steal at £2.99 and it performs waaaaaay better than the OPI top coat I have!
