OPI & Silver Studded Nails

I’ve recently been getting interested in nails again!
I’ve been investigating acrylic nail systems but until I have all the right stuff I thought I would give some full cover false nails a go!
Major benefit is that you can paint them, create the art work then just stick them on, no dodgy left handed cock ups! 🙂
I used OPI in Cajun Shrimp, a lovely nod to summer!
I then used silver studs to create accent nails, placing the studs on to the nails with a dotting tool!
I finished it all off with a coat of Seche Vite top coat!
You can get most nail art goodies like studs, fimo canes etc for absolute pennies on ebay from Hong Kong sellers!
They usually have the best choice for the cheapest prices, if you don’t mind waiting a bit longer for delivery!

Nail Art!

I’ve recently been fairly intrigued by nail art!
It’s a really thrifty way of updating your look which is awesome because its quite cheap if you decided you don’t like it!

Who needs a salon and its inflated prices when you can get some glorious bargains if you look in the right places!

In the pic below are a few of the bargains I have picked up!
The wraps were in Primark for just 50p each, the rhinestones and stickers came from eBay for about 99p each!
I’m still waiting for the arrival of my fimo canes and slices but more on those cuties in another posting!

The Maybelline Color Show polishes were a treat from the Mr and they are currently buy one get one half price in boots!
I’m obsessed with the orange one (Orange attack) and below is a pic after just one coat! Lovely!

I’m looking forward to trying out all my trusty bargains and seeing if I’m any good at doing the said nail art!
If not then my little sisters in Sweden are going to get one good haul! 🙂

Baking and bargains!

So lately I have been thinking of the ways of thrift!
This means bargain eBay outfits and lots of homemade baked treats!

If you spend enough time you can hunt out some absolute bargains on eBay!
I have recently got some cute brand new dresses starting from 99p!!!!
I’ll do another post on my eBay bargains soon!

Recently though I have been baking up a storm, trying out a big fat chocolate cake, bread and brownies!

My friend Sarah recently had a big birthday so I baked her the big fat chocolate cake so we could enjoy it at work! 🙂
The recipe is from the Gu cookbook!
The below pic is me with the creation!

Paul Hollywood has been inspiring me with his doughy ways and decided to recreate his bloomer but with wholemeal seeded flour!
The results were amazing! I’ve never had bread turn out so well!

Next were the brownies which feature on this months Sainburys magazine cover!
I leave you with white chocolate and raspberry brownies!
